Movie Review: Before We Go

Adventures In Babysitting meets a love story...

Something told me, on this lazy Sunday, to see this movie.  While feeling down and blue and totally against love, you can imagine that a romance was the last thing I felt like seeing - but I couldn't stop myself.

I purchased the movie for $5.99 "On Demand" when I could have gotten dressed, got in the car, and picked it up from Redbox for $1.99.  Instead, I dragged myself out of bed, down the stairs, and hit a few buttons on the remote, cuddled up on the couch, and watched the movie.

So glad I did!  I really liked this movie and I LOVE Chris Evans.  It took awhile to get used to his "Movember" beard, but he can't help be adorable.  I secretly wished for someone to look at me the way he looked at this girl in the movie.  And the way he went out of his way to be her knight-in-shining-armor was heroic.  The girl, I did not recognize, and at first, I had decided I was not going to like her.  However, ten minutes in, I had changed my mind.  The two actors where great together and their characters shared some pretty life changing thoughts and decisions throughout the 8 hours they were together.

The ending was one which I love to hate.  I won't give away any spoilers, but let's just say, I would be happy to have such a wonderful experience as they had and to meet someone with whom I could have such a fun/loving connection with.  Nowadays, romance is gone and replaced with hook-up apps, text messages and ghosting.

Here's to fairy-tales and holding out for the magic....

Repost: The VOW

I thought it fitting to repost this review from 2012 since I am watching the movie again, for the second time, years later.  Sadly, life does not seem to follow the movies and the guy does not always fight for the girl....

What a good movie this was!

I had been looking forward to seeing this.  Not only because of the beautiful and great actors in the movie (Racheal McAdams & Channing Tatum) but because it was a love story.  Who DOESN'T love a good romance???

Boy meets girl.  Boy and girl fall in love.  They get married and have many good times and memories.  Boy shows his love for girl through out the movie and makes YOU fall in love with him (not to mention the nude scene - wink/wink).  Boy and girl get in a car accident.  Girl suffers memory loss of her last 5 years of being married to boy.  Next comes all of the laughter, tears, heartbreak, disappointment and so on when the two try to get back what they lost.

I give it a 4.5 stars!!! Go see it with someone you love.

Trending Today: Courteney Cox

I opened Yahoo tonight and looked at what was trending, to get inspiration on what to write about.  Low and behold, a celebrity was on the list (actually, eight of them).  So, I picked one and decided to give you Ten Things You Did Not Know About Courteney Cox (information obtained by Yahoo and Wikipedia):

1. Courteney was born: Courteney Bass Cox (she was named after her Mother whose first name is Courteney and her last name was Bass before she re-married)
2. She owns a production company named: Coquette Productions (I figure this is short for her's and David Arquette's names put together).
3. In 2005, she was one of the highest paid TV actresses of all time.
4. She once dated her Step-Father's nephew, rock promoter, Ian Copeland.
5. Courteney and David separated for two years before finally divorcing in 2013.
6. She is not only an actress, but she is a director and a producer.
7. Her show, DIRT, last for two seasons (this was one of my favorite shows).
8. Courteney is from Alabama.
9. She had plans of becoming an Architect, but dropped her college classes to become and actress and model.
10. She was born in 1964. (she looks amazing for 51)

Movie Weekend

We went and saw Chronicle this weekend.  The trailer for the movie was done very good and made the movie look like something we would like to see.  Of course, the trailer always shows too much of the movie, but I figured that would be okay this time since the story for the movie was not too detailed in the trailer.

The movie is about these three high school boys who go down a hole one night and end up having special powers later.  However, the main story line is about one of the boys and his home life and it sets a mood for what kind of character he later becomes.

There were a few things I did not like about this movie.  The first one was that most of the movie was like the Blair Witch project and that the main character did everything from behind a video camera.  So this made the movie seem like a home movie.  Secondly, there just did not seem to have much "meat" to the movie.  Sure, there was some action at the end as the character flew around and battled, but it just didn't have a lot to offer.

The two best parts of the movie were watching the pranks that the boys pulled on people using their special powers.  The second part was how the bad guy ends up dying in the end (oops, did I spoil it?).  Not likely....

Movie Review: The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1

Who hasn't seen this movie yet?  Although I did not hang out in two to three day lines to see this movie on opening day, I did see it opening weekend.  My daughter and I have a standing "date" whenever the Twilight movies come out.  I thought it crazy that someone would camp-out in line just to be one of the first to see a movie.  The movie WILL be the same whether you are the first or the last to see it.  I was hoping that by going to a 10:45 PM showing the second night out it would not be as busy, but the theater was packed!

This fourth installment of the Twilight series is actually a two-parter.  First there was Twilight, then New Moon, and then EclipseBreaking Dawn is part one of two.  The second part will hopefully come out next year at this time.  Breaking Dawn is the last book about the "Twilight" crew written by Stephenie Meyer.  Interesting fact: Stephenie wrote a draft story, which was illegally leaked to the public, called Midnight Sun.  This story is from Edward's perspective.  Who knows, maybe the Twilight series will take a whole new turn when all is said and done.  I know that readers and viewers would be excited to see more about the characters that they have grown to love (and hate).

The movie was good.  It was very serious in many parts and seemed a bit slow.  The movie experience always varies based on the audience you are seeing it with.  Ours seemed to be a bunch of younger people (go figure) and the giggling teens seemed to be talking and laughing in some parts that just did not seem necessary.  It made my viewing somewhat of a negative experience.  However, I know that should not effect my opinion of the movie, but because of this, it made the movie seem slow and drawn out.

Here is a spoiler of the movie (don't read if you don't want to know): Bella and Edward have their "worries" prior to their wedding.  Jacob gets an invitation to their wedding and storms off into hiding.  Edward and Bella have a beautiful ceremony (outdoors - weeping willow trees are strategically placed to keep the sunlight from being too strong).   Jacob misses the wedding but he does, however, make an appearance at the reception.  The closeness that he and Bella have during their dance allows the viewer to see the love that they both share, even though she just married Edward.

It is decided that they will consummate their wedding before Bella is turned.  This seems to be a big topic of discussion among the Quileute tribe.  They are not happy about this and Jacob lets everyone know.  Personally, I would be embarrassed if everyone knew I was getting ready to finally have sex with my boyfriend for the first time.  But, it was all anyone talked about in this part of the movie.

The honeymoon is taken on a beautiful, secluded island.  Bella and Edward are nervous for their night of passion and the next morning it appears they had a rough previous night.  But, everyone survived and the couple seemed more in love than ever.  They spent time frolicking and enjoying one another's company as they played Chess, swam, made love, etc.

It appears that several days pass when Bella realizes she has missed her period.  She immediately feels like she is pregnant and begins the appearance of being pregnant.  They fear that the baby will be a demon and this is confirmed by an Indian woman on the island.  Bella and Edward rush home to be with the Cullens.  As Bella's pregnancy continues at a fast pace, she begins to love the baby as it is quickly ruining her health.  Her appearance starts to wither and her cheeks become hollow.  She really looks horrible.  The family feels that they should terminate the baby, but Bella insists on delivering.  In the meantime, the Quileute tribe finds out she is having a demon baby and they decide they must kill it and possibly Bella.  Jacob turns against the tribe (with some help from two of his tribe mates) and attempts to save the unborn baby.

Bella goes into labor and as the baby is born, they realize it is a healthy, baby girl.  Unfortunately, Bella seems to be slipping away and as she is going, Edward begins trying to "change" her by biting her all over.  It appears that Bella is gone.

Jacob realizes that the baby will soon be killed, because he cannot save her from his tribe.  He goes into the house and sees the baby, who they named, Renesmee, all cleaned up and in the arms of Rosalie. Renesmee and Jacob's eyes lock and at that moment he "imprints" on her.  Visions of Renesmee growing up to be a beautiful woman play and at that moment Jacob knows that he will spend his life protecting her and he knows the feeling of "imprinting" someone.  Because of this action, his tribe can not ever harm Renesmee.

There are some fight scenes that I have left out between the tribe and the Cullens, you will have to watch them, they are pretty good.

Finally, the movie ends with Bella on the table, obviously dead.  After moments pass, she suddenly opens her eyes and they are blood red!  (end movie)

Okay, now you know how I felt about the movie.  What did you think of The Twighlight Saga Breaking Dawn Part 1?

Movie Review: Paranormal Activity 3

No folks, this movie is NOT real!!!! I know, it seems like it might be, but it's not.  My 14-year old daughter begs to differ though.  I had to assure her it wasn't and explained that I have even seen some of the actors in other things, i.e. Lauren Bittner (Julie) was in Bride Wars and Law & Order.  Chloe Csengery (Young Katie) is in the series Up All Night.  The cast is full of un-famous actors and actresses.  But, they do play their parts well and that's what makes this movie believable to many.

This third installment of the series was definitely the best yet.  I remember seeing the first one at the theater and walking out half way through.  It was terrible and not scary at all.  I later saw the second one and thought it was a little better and that maybe I should watch the first one again.

Unlike most sequels/prequels in Hollywood, the third Paranormal Activity was the best.  It had lots of "jump out and get ya" moments that we all expect and love from a scary movie.  The fact that it appears to be reality makes it even more scary.

I did find it hard to keep track of what was going on at the beginning of the movie. This was one of those "prequels" that shows you the beginning of a series after you have already watched the ending.  My mind is just too analytical to allow them to completely make sense.  I am always second guessing things and questioning events.

Overall, this movie was worth the $10 I paid (actually, I paid $30 because I took my daughter and her friend).  *Wow, movies are expensive - sigh!* Because we saw it in a theater, we got to experience the crowd reaction at all the right moments.  I imagine you could have an eventful viewing at home and perhaps be prepared for those scary moments by really scaring someone who hasn't seen it yet - lol.

What did you think?

Movie Review - Horrible Bosses

My fourteen-year old daughter and I decided to go see "Horrible Bosses" this weekend.  Since viewing the movie trailers for the last couple of months, I was really excited to see this movie.  The cast, the previews and the story line all appealed to me.  But, leave it to Hollywood to ruin yet another movie by showing too many good parts in their trailer.  I guess I should not use the word "ruin".  This is harsh.  The movie was still funny, entertaining and I am glad I went.  However, I found that all the really funny parts were shown in the previews.

I was a little worried that my daughter may see and hear too much adult "stuff" but I did not find it to be any more embarrassing than watching some television shows with her.  Other than Jennifer Aniston showing some cleavage and wearing lingerie, there was no nudity.

The cast was great!  Justin Bateman, as always, does a great job at playing the "uptight" friend.  Charlie Day stole the show as the "sex offender" who got his title because he urinated, at night, in a playground, next to a bar.  Through the movie, there are several references to this and I feel he was surprisingly funny, for an actor that I had not seen before.   Jason Sudeikis was funny, but I had a hard time believing that he was such the "ladies man" they made him out to be.  Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Spacey and Colin Ferrel were the "Horrible Bosses" and were so believable, I wanted to kill them!  It was awesome seeing hunky Colin Ferrel in such a nerdy role.  Jennifer was such a man-eater and Mr. Spacey always does a good job in whatever he does.  I must also mention Jamie Foxx as Mr. Motherf..... .  He was so funny as the original hitman they hired to wack the bosses.

Overall, this movie is funny and worth seeing.  What did you think?

Are You Ready For A "Hall Pass"?

Went and saw the movie Hall Pass this past weekend with my husband.  I had not laughed that much since seeing "Get Him To The Greek".  This movie was really funny, predictable, but funny!  I liked that there were a lot of parts that relate to real life and that they could make fun of some real serious situations (stalking, infidelity, drug abuse, etc.).

The cast was great, I like Owen Wilson and Christina Applegate - they were funny.  The supporting cast was equally entertaining introducing some unfamiliar actors and actresses.

As I entered the theater, I heard a man, who was seeing the show with a female guest, ask the ticket taker what the movie was about.  I thought, "Really?"  Well, in case you are not aware, it goes something like this:

Middle-aged men are getting bored in their marriages and want to spice things up.  The wives are tired of catching their husband's gawking at other women and feel that they need to let their husbands get it out of their system.  So, the wives give the men a one-week "hall pass" from their marriage.  They can go do whatever (and whomever) they want.  It is not said that the women can do the same thing, but of course, I say, "Hey, if they can play, so can the wives!" and that they do.  The men start to realize that they don't necessarily have the same attraction and stamina they might have had when they were younger.  So, as the week goes by, they are tested and eventually have a few opportunities that don't end up being what they really want after all.  (Go figure, you have something good at home and it takes going out and testing the water to realize this!)

I think this movie is worth seeing and I will probably view it again when it comes out on DVD.  If you liked "The Hangover" or "Grown-Ups", you will like this.

Tell me what YOU thought...

Funny Movies

I saw a couple funny movies this past month.

Get Him To The Greek

This movie was so completely funny.  It is raunchy and full of adult humor, so definitely not a movie you want to take the family to.  However, if you get a chance to see it, it's worth the $$ to see.

Grown Ups

Another funny movie that Hollywood seems to spoil when they built the trailer.  All the funny scenes were included in the trailer, so there really wasn't any surprises in this movie.  It was definitely geared toward a male audience as there was lots of "T & A".  Never-the-less, the movie was funny and had a lot of serious spots that everyone can relate to.  Might want to see this at the matinee.

Movie Review: Who Is Wolverine?

"Who is Wolverine?" This is what I asked my husband when he suggested we go see the movie. I am not much into these kinds of movies, as I have not seen any of the X-Men shows. After some explanation and some guilt for always asking him to see my movies, I agreed to see Wolverine. Much to my surprise, I really liked the movie. It was easy to follow, action packed and it left me wanting to watch more. It's my understanding that because I have seen Wolverine, I will understand X-Men better than had I not seen it. So, I think I will watch some movies this weekend.

Movie Review: He's Just Not That Into You

Great cast!

A movie everyone can relate to!

Funny & Heartwarming!

Good chick flick!

So these are all of the "headliners" that I was hoping to get out of this movie. And it lived up to my expectations.

This movie had some wonderful actors. From the beautiful Scarlett Johansson to the handsome Bradley Cooper and to the quirky Ginnifer Goodwin and the loveable Jennifer Aniston.

If you have ever been in a relationship, whether you are single and loving it or single and hating it, or if you have had your heart broken, you can and will relate to this movie. From the desperate attempts at finding true love and finding that one person who will love you for "you" this movie explores many things that we all go through.

He's Just Not That Into You was funny and dramatic all at the same time. It was a movie I saw with the girls, who, by the way, loved it.

I, on the other hand, had a lot to think about on my long drive home.

One couple that the movie followed has been together for 7 years, living happily unmarried, and they decide to break up because the woman feels they should marry and the man is against the legal union. After being apart for awhile and realizing that even though she is not married to this man, she still has a better "husband" in him than any of her relatives who are married to their own couch potatoes. She realizes that marriage is just a symbolization and that the relationship that you have with someone is what counts, not the piece of paper or the title that you hold.

Another couple in the movie appear to be happily married but yet, the husband finds himself drawn to a beautiful woman who pays him lots of attention and strokes his ego. Even though he realizes he is married and makes half-hearted attempts at pushing the "other woman" away, he pursues her and they start having an affair. This troubles me and could trouble anyone else who has been hurt by an affair. An affair is the way we all feel when we first begin a relationship with someone. You feel so in love and can't get enough of the person. You also believe this person can do no wrong. But once you are with them for awhile and the newness wears off and you see they are a real person, it's just not the same. Or, in this instance, if your lover shoves you in a closet while he makes love to his wife, it's pretty much over.

Then, there is the quirky girl who just can't figure out the signs that men put out. She believes what men tell her and assumes only the best. With help from a man who has "been around the block" and knows the ways of dating, she quickly learns to spot the phonies from the keepers. She does this by calling her helper during dates to run scenerios by him to get his help on how to deal with her date. Haven't we all been this girl? Blindsided by some smooth words at least once?

This movie has other cute story lines that I will not go into, as the above resonated more with me.

In closing, the movie was good and I would suggest seeing it (but maybe not as a date movie - maybe it's more of a chick flick after all).

Did you see this? What did you think? Did you have any deep thoughts or did you just dig/not dig the movie?

Movie Review: Revolutionary Road

I have been putting this review off for awhile so that I can give some good thought to it.

Why did I go see this movie?

1. I thought that seeing Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet together again (after Titanic) would be good.

2. It looked like a movie that would resonate with anyone who has ever been in a relationship.

How did I feel when I walked out of the movie?

1. I felt really disappointed.

2. I felt embarrassed that I made my husband go see it with me.

3. I felt tense and depressed.

My thoughts on the movie:

I remember when the movie was almost at it's end looking over at my husband who looked as uncomfortable watching this as I did. This movie was obviously written by someone who does not have good thoughts on marriage as every relationship in this movie seems disfunctional. When we left the theater, I appologized to my hubby. We both agreed that it was uncomfortable watching the characters fight - you really felt like you were a part of it. We agreed it was a bad movie.

However......

The next night, while out for dinner, we began talking about the movie. We both brought up our thoughts on the characters and the relationship that they had with one another. We agreed on a lot, but we also brought out other ways of looking at things in this movie. We related some of the movie to our relationship and our past, failed relationships. By the time we were done discussing the movie, and our relationship, we both seemed to realize that the movie wasn't all that bad and that maybe we got out of it what we were supposed to.

I would love to share our thoughts on this movie, but I do not want to give it away or ruin it. So, I will just leave my review as is.

Did you see this movie? What are your thoughts?

Movie Review: Marley & Me

Hang on to your Kleenex! I knew this movie would have a sad ending, but I couldn't help crying during the last twenty minutes. Was it a good movie? Yes, of course! Should everyone see this? Yes - most definitely!!!! The movie, over-all was part comedy, part drama. It was very entertaining.

Marley & Me wasn't just a movie about a cute dog. This movie was about love, life, family, choices, and happiness. The movie follows John & Jenny Grogan, a newly married couple, played by Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston. The casting for this movie was great - the two made a very believable couple.

John & Jenny decide to get a puppy, enter Marley. Marley is as adorable as can be, and if you have ever had a puppy, you can relate to all of the wonderful side-effects to taking care of puppy. If Marley isn't chewing the floor, howling at thunderstorms or humping the stuffed animals, he is running off down the beach with everyone chasing him. This dog becomes a lot of work for the newly married couple, who eventually decide to start a family.

Throughout the movie, we learn about the Grogan family and the trials and tribulations of building a solid family and about holding onto your individualty. I related to a lot of this movie, since everyone always looks at the greener grass on the other side and wonders what it would be like. We see this when we observe John's relationship with his successful friend, Sabastian.

John and Jenny build their family and realize that it is all worth it; the screaming kids, the sleepless nights, the chewed up couch and all the joys that family brings. Throughout the movie, Marley ages as does the family. I began to cry as I realized that the dog has been there as a permanante fixture of the family and as he ages, we know the inevitable will soon happen.

Although it has a sad ending, the movie really is wonderful and I hear the book is great too. I hope I did not spoil the movie, but I really enjoyed so many aspects of this that I wanted to share it with you.

Did you see the movie? Could you relate with it? Do you have any CRAZY dog stories? The floor is open.....

Movie Review: The House Bunny

I admit it, I rented this movie over the holidays. I really didn't expect a lot from this movie and this was a good thing, since there was not much to it.

Story: It's the story of a beautiful Playboy Bunny (Shelly), who lives at the Playboy Mansion, but has never been a centerfold. She becomes homeless and stubbles upon a sorority house and talks the girls into allowing her to be their house mom. The house is filled with misfits and losers who are about to lose their charter and their house. With Shelly's help, the girls throw a killer party, get make-overs and become popular. Shelly tries to win the heart of Oliver, played by Tom Hank's son, but has problems getting him to fall for her airhead persona (which is really just the way she is).

Characters: The character, Shelly, is bubbly, sweet as pie and dumb as a box of rocks. She uses her sex appeal to her advantage, with her skimpy clothes and a raspy voice. Guys will love this movie, especially the scene were she drops her towel and you get to see her back-side.

The misfits at the sorority house are as annoying as nails on a chalk board. There is the lead girl who looks somewhat mentally challenged and acts the part too. There is a girl with piercings all over her face with horrible hair and dresses like a guy. There are a variety of other characters in the movie that fit the stereo types the movie tries to portray. The MOST annoying character that drove me crazy was the "Lumber Jack" girl who really made you wonder if she was even a female. It was hard for me to watch this person, with her deep-throated voice, her hunch-back walk/run and the actual words that came out of her mouth. The second most annoying would be Rumor Willis' character, who lived in a full body brace because she was afraid to take it off years ago when it was medically possible. She mimicks the Forest Gump scene where she begins running and her brace magically falls off and underneath she has beautiful long hair, a hot body and skimpy clothes. UGH!!!!

On a good note, if you like The Girls Next Door, you will enjoy seeing cameos of the Girls and Hef throughout the movie.

Over-all, this movie was lame. I did find myself envious of Anna Faris' body and it is giving me motivation (this week) to try to start working out and eating better. LOL

Okay, So I Am Jumping On The Bandwagon

Okay, so I am jumping on the bandwagon and reviewing the Twilight movie. I know, everyone and their brother is either raving or ranting about this movie. "It's not like the book - I hated it," some say. Others, like myself, did not read the book so they "loved it". And lastly, there were those who liked both the book and the movie. I did not know what to expect, so I was pleasantly pleased. I liked everything about this movie. I am not going to go into a full review, since it is really being over done. Let's just say that I will buy it when it comes out.

As I mentioned, some are saying the movie is not as good as the book. I admit, books are ALWAYS better, no matter what. Books allow you to get in tune with the character's inner being, their thoughts, dreams and fears. Movies have a harder time portraying that. Many try, but it is just not the same. Now, don't get me wrong, after I see a movie I like, the vibe from the movie stays with me for the rest of the day. However, with books, you have a sense of longing after a book ends. You miss the characters and wish there was more. When there is a sequel you become very excited. Movie sequels are rarely as good as the originals.

What do you think?

1. Has there been a book/movie sequel that you have liked as much if not better than the original?

2. What books or movies do you wish would have a sequel?

Movie Review - The Strangers

This movie was scary! Yes, I admit, I was on the edge of my seat. Horror movies now days are pretty cheesy, but the ones that get me are the ones that could be true. Dan agrees, in fact, he won't even watch them with me. So, my mom watched it with me and she didn't even fall asleep - this is a sign of a good movie.

The Strangers stars Liv Tyler and cutie, Scott Speedman as a couple who are obviously going through relationship issues. The movie starts out by making you curious as to why the wedding they just went to was so tense. They both come back home pretty upset and as the scenes play out you begin to realize what is going on. Along the way, the plot turns from their obvious problem to a really SCARY problem that any one of us could REALLY have. I know, I am being a little cryptic, but I just don't want to spoil this movie for you. I want you to see it the way I saw it, which was without seeing the trailer or reading any reviews.

So, rent this. Watch it during the day (or at night if you feel brave). Grab a blanket, cover your eyes if you need to, and enjoy the terror!

Have you seen this movie? Did you like it?

Movie Review: Forgetting Sarah Marshall

I had been putting off renting this movie for no particular reason. I finally took the plunge and rented from one of those wonderful Red Box video locations. BTW, how convenient is that?

Anyway, the female lead, Kristen Bell, was in a
UPN show that I was sad to see go, Veronica Mars. I really like her. She's quirky, cute, funny and very likable (even as a cheating girlfriend). In a nutshell, Jason Segel plays a guy who was just dumped by his famous girlfriend of 5 years (Bell). We've all been there, dumped that is, and to watch what this poor guy goes through is too funny. This movie has a great cast, almost every single character got a laugh out of me (which is hard to do). I must warn you, some of what caused me to laugh was the reason this movie was rated R. There is full frontal nudity, sexual discussions, and all sorts of inappropriate behavior, which performed by this cast, ends up being hilarious!

I don't want to spoil it, so I am not going to tell you anymore, but if you liked
SuperBad, 40 Year-Old Virgin or Old School, you will love this movie.

Did you see this movie? What did you think?

Movie Review - Running Scared

I have to admit, I rented this movie because of Paul Walker, and I was very glad that I did. Running Scared kept my attention all the way through. It was one of those movies that starts at the end and then goes backward 18 hours, so you know (or you think you know) how it ends. It is set in either New York or Chicago and has that dark, tense, mob-type feel about it.

At the beginning, the scenes are shot in an unusual way and if you have ever seen CSI, you will know what I am talking about. Specifically, when the bullet shoots through the house from the neighbor’s house, they shoot the scene in slow motion, doing possible scenarios of how it could have happened, versus the final outcome (very interesting). This is the first time that I have seen Walker play this kind of gruff, violent, tough guy, but he is still believable as the “good guy”. The supporting characters do a great job as well, with bad guys that you love to hate – especially the child molesters.

The movie is based on a continuous pursuit of a missing gun that keeps falling into the hands of yet another person that Walker has to catch up with. There are some graphic scenes (blood and nudity) and lots of profanity, but it wasn’t bad enough that I had to hide my eyes or cover my ears. In closing, the last five minutes of the movie left me with varied emotions, and to me, that is the sign of a good movie.

Movie Review - 88 Seconds

I was excited to watch this movie since seeing the trailer at the theater. Sadly, I was disappointed. This is one of those movies that has so much going on that you feel you are missing things and that you will have to watch again just to get a good idea as to how it all comes together. Halfway through the movie I knew how it would end. It was a crazy 88 minutes for Al Pacino and I felt as stressed as he looked just from watching it. This is a "ah, I have seen everything else, okay, I will get this" kinda movie.

Did you see it? What did you think?
